Team Building

Is your team experiencing silos, limited collaboration, or the effects of groupthink?

Could purposeful team building activate connection, clarify communication, and strengthen collective effectiveness?

  • I design team-building experiences for employees and volunteers – across in-person, virtual, and hybrid environments – that deepen trust, improve communication, and foster collaboration.

These experiences activate connection, educate teams around shared norms and strengths, and motivate collaboration grounded in mutual respect and accountability.

The result is a stronger sense of community and shared ownership – where teams are better positioned to work together effectively.

Teams leave more connected, better aligned, and motivated to collaborate toward shared goals.

Above is a 0.45 second clip of me in motion, leading a cohort of about 25 diverse leaders through a joyful team building exercise.

We are outside at a retreat, on grass under a blue sky and near a building. Participants are laughing, bonding, and working and moving together to make this work.

And a good time was had by all!

Two rows of diverse participants stand outside, with Debbie Fink in the middle, providing directives for this exercise. Debbie holds a bag of one-minute timers. A tree, barn, and building are in the background.

Man holding up a one-minute timer, talking intently with his partner.
Two women, side-by-side, engaged in speaking to their partners across from them.
Woman listening intently as her partner is expressing his thoughts with her.

This photo montage consists of 8 photos, all from a team bonding activity: “MCQ / Memory, Compliment, or Question,” created and implemented by Debbie Fink. The main photo is of Debbie standing in between two rows of participants, providing directives. The other 7 cameo photos all capture participants engaging in the meaningful activity. Khadija Bari, Chair of Board of Directors for Disability Belongs, asserts:

“Whether I was seeking a touch of positivity or professional honesty, I knew I could count on Debbie. When the pandemic hit, Debbie did a fantastic job of ensuring the team of women that were training for RespectAbility’s Speakers Bureau were able to continue our training virtually. She coordinated, organised, and always kept it fun and engaging in what was a whole new virtual world.

Debbie helped me get my first speaking gig and nominated me to serve on the non-profit’s board. I am now the Chair of Board of Directors. Debbie always looks out for the best for those she works with, and such people are truly rare to come across.”
