Meet Debbie

I am a senior consultant with more than 20 years of experience working alongside mission-driven and complex organizations across education, health, the arts, and workforce-related systems. My work focuses on helping leaders strengthen talent pathways, leadership capacity, and organizational effectiveness in settings shaped by multiple stakeholders, constraints, and communities.

I support organizations as they think through leadership, workforce, and strategic challenges, where progress depends on alignment across programs, partners, and people. I frequently collaborate with HR and senior leaders, bringing an external, systems-oriented perspective to workforce challenges such as expanding access and exploring new approaches to reach untapped talent.

What Grounds My Work:

My background is interdisciplinary by design, with graduate training spanning public administration, education, and psychology. This foundation allows me to connect strategy with human experience, and to design approaches that are practical, inclusive, and responsive to real-world conditions. My work is grounded in a simple, action-oriented framework:

Activate | Educate | Motivate

I use this framework to activate readiness and momentum, educate with intention, and motivate meaningful change. Whether working with leaders, teams, or cross-sector partners, it provides a clear structure for moving from aspiration to action while building internal capacity.

Career Highlight to Date:

A defining highlight of my career to date was leading global tours with the USO across U.S. military bases in Japan/Okinawa, South Korea, Germany, and Italy, reaching more than 20,000 military-connected children, servicemembers, parents, educators, and military leaders. This work included being invited to write a script for the First Lady of the United States—recorded and shared internationally—to affirm and support children navigating the realities of military life.

Accessibility as a Core Throughline:

Across global, cross-cultural, and high-stakes settings, I bring deep experience designing partnerships, programs, and learning environments that engage the full range of talent and ability, including the 1-in-5 people of all ages with disabilities who live, learn, and work in the U.S.

Clients value my ability to translate intention into approaches that are usable, durable, and meaningful for the communities and teams they serve. I am known for my collaborative style, thoughtful listening, and ability to help leaders move forward with clarity and confidence. I bring a sense of positivity and optimism to complex work, rooted in respect for existing expertise and a belief that change happens when people, systems, and purpose are aligned.

Overall Impact:

Over the course of my career, ~500K+ beneficiaries worldwide have been reached through my consulting services, programs, projects, trainings, curricula, books, storytelling, ‘edu-taining’, and digital content. With an evidence-based approach, deep emotional intelligence, and love of people, I develop transformative initiatives that drive measurable results.
