The Mom of Many Hats Project (MOMH) entails the following three elements: Distribution of the children’s book A Mom of Many Hats (MOMH), written for children coping with a parent undergoing chemotherapy as a cancer treatment. The book is inspirational and upbeat. Conducting MOMH performances / events across the country for children and their families. These “Interactive Theatre” performances include highly engaging monologues from each character’s perspective (Olivia, Brad, mother, and father). Each monologue is followed by a group discussion led by a therapist / facilitator. At the end of the four monologues, the group decides which character to bring back to “interview.” After this group interview, a therapeutic Q&A takes place with the therapist/facilitator and actress, and free books are distributed for the audience’s children.
