Nobody’s Perfect!

The Eagle-Eyed Editors’ ClubTM


This exciting, fun, and user-friendly tool, entitled “Nobody’s Perfect! The Eagle-Eyed Editors’ ClubTM” (EEE Club) was recently launched with media specialists at the School Library Media Programs’ Professional Development Day for Montgomery County Public Schools of Maryland (August 14, 2008). 

CLUB’S GOALS: 

  1. 1. To empower young readers, helping them hone their editing skills; 

  2. 2.To introduce and reinforce visual literacy; 

  3. 3.To plant seeds for career development, helping to nurture our future authors, editors, publishers, and scriptwriters; 

  4. 4.To have detective fun while we’re at it!

WHO CAN JOIN?

Any library or school (elementary, middle, or high school).


WHAT DO WE GET BY JOINING?

  1. 1.Your students have the chance to become Eagle-Eyed Editors. 

  2. 2.Your students’ “finds” will be uploaded on our web site as seen below.

  3. 3.Your students will have the opportunity in the future (2009-10) to win Harmony Hearth’s “Nobody’s Perfect! Eagle-Eyed Editors’ Award.”

            HOW DO WE JOIN?

    The program’s 2008 membership is free for all schools and libraries participating in the launch.  In subsequent years, participating schools and libraries will pay an affordable, annual membership fee.
