Dear Visitors,

Greetings!  You’ve made your way to the golden doors of Harmony Hearth.  You’ve knocked (or clicked).  We’ve let you in.  We hope you find your visit meaningfully fun, scholastic, refreshing, and restorative.    ¡Mi casa es su casa!

As you browse, our aim is to help you help your students or children (K-8th grade) become the best they can be.  Whether you are a principal, a PTA parent, a guidance counselor, a media or reading specialist, a special education/learning specialist, an educator or staff development educator, we have a great experience prepared for you.  Whatever your background, below is a specialized note left in the mailbox just for you:

Note to Visiting Principals and Assistant PrincipalsWe honor your commitment to your school community.  Like Lincoln (yes, we have a program for his upcoming bicentennial celebration), your constituents look up to you as your school’s fearless leader.  We know you have to pick and choose among multiple pressing priorities, depending on your school’s needs, time restraints, and budget.  We offer your school the following:  a) student assemblies, b) parent workshops, c) educator’s and/or staff workshops, and d) consultant work for each of the topics addressed herein (ie, Lincoln’s bicentennial, Thanksgiving’s history through the centuries, character education, the gift of writing, and celebrating learning differences / diversity).  Pick and choose what best suits your school community, click on the topic above, and you’ll land right there.

Note to Visiting PTA Parents: We applaud your volunteer work with an “attitude of gratitude.” Where would our schools be without the dedicated corps of parent volunteers?  And yes, should you choose one of our programs for your school, we are worth every Lincoln Penny!  Cultural Arts are woven into each and every highly interactive performance.  After all, we aim to reach and teach students of all learning styles and multiple intelligences.  “Meaningful fun” is our operative term!

Note to Visiting Guidance Counselors: We recognize the immense responsibility that falls on your shoulders.  We reinforce your critical and hard work, wherever you are along the path of Character Education.  As is said, “it takes a village!”  Character Education is not a one-person job. We want to hear about your successes and your challenges.  We listen to you, and based on your input, we then customize our Friends!  Building Friendship Value by Value assemblies for your school climate.  We are here to help you--whether it’s through student assemblies, parent workshops, educator’s and paraeducator’s workshops, or consulting with a school climate committee or character education committee.  Let’s team together to circle that wagon ‘round the village!  Click here on FRIENDS! to go directly to information on the FRIENDS! Project.

Note to Media and Reading Specialists: We value and share your love for reading, writing, and children’s literature.  We can help you deliver this passion to your students through our Gift of Writing Project.  Let them experience the interconnection between reading and writing, using great literature to drive the message home.  Whether it’s a one-time assembly or an all-day series of sessions in your media center (grade-by-grade) or a poetry workshop during National Poetry Month, we’re primed to work with you and your budding writers.  Next time your students pick up their pencils to write, they’ll be grinning ear to ear!  Click here to go directly to information on the GIFT OF WRITING Project.

Note to Special Education/Learning Specialists:  We honor your noble work as you meet the educational needs of a very diverse student body.   Everyday, you see a wide spectrum of learning differences and physical disabilities.  So do the students.  So do we.  Let’s teach students some fun basics about how our brains work through our Brain Power!  Celebrating Learning Differences Project.  Let’s validate those who struggle.  Let’s teach tolerance as we sensitize others.  Let’s introduce great contributors to our society who have accomplished amazing things, in spite of--or because of--their learning differences or physical disabilities.  It is time to celebrate learning differences!  Everyone will breathe a sigh of relief as they samba their way back to class . . .

Note to Educators and Staff Development Educators:  We revere your devotion to your students and colleagues!  If you’re reading this, you clearly want to find ways to improve upon the status quo.  You’re ready to think outside the box.  The sky is the limit herein.  You’ll especially appreciate the Teacher’s Guides, Follow up Activities, and video clips on TeacherTube.com (due to technical difficulties, these are coming soon . . .). We know you’ll feel right at home as you browse, and we look forward to hearing feedback from you!
